There is a lot of dialog in this game, especially if you decide to talk to random persons too. While there is combat, most of the time you will spend reading through the story dialog, or traveling. There is no voice acting, but each character has a few spoken victory lines in English at the end of fights (this is what listed as “Full audio” on Steam). The music of the game is good, as expected from a Falcom game. There were comments that switching the font quality down prevents some crashes, but those fonts look ugly, so I stuck to the high resolution ones. The fonts are of high resolution too, unless switched back down. The character portraits in the dialog are high resolution remasters - the original game had more aliased portraits. The sprites meld nicely with the background. The characters and monsters are sprite based, but with detailed animations. The graphics of the game is aesthetically pleasing. Since I set it to not show up, not sure what those options were, I turned it off after setting the resolution. The game has a launcher, some options can be changed only there. A nice mechanisms I found out only by the end dungeon : holding down right trigger on the controller speeds up the combat (and walking also, but that wasn’t that slow to begin with). While it is not stated in the game description, it is actually a graphically remastered version, with a few gameplay quality of life tweaks.
